Type in number of miles of UPV of roads in the United States, because most roads are also corridors for power lines.
I would estimate that we probably have hundreds of billions of miles of electrical cable and UPVC doors that’s sheeted in polyvinyl chloride, all of which is not recyclable. Interestingly, the value of copper inside the wire is high enough to encourage it’s recycling, but the value of the PVC is negligible.
I’d also like you to think about your own water supply. Think about where you grew up. Do you know where your water came from? Do you know how it was piped to your faucets?
Here’s an example of a water supply being fed by copper pipes at the top. Then there’s a distribution network throughout the house, going to the refrigerator, or going to the kitchen sink, going to toilets in different parts of the house.
