That’s a very comforting thing, to live within balance with nature. We’re connected to nature. If it’s sunny we do different things. If it’s windy we might do different things.
Janaia: If it’s rainy you know you’re collecting your rain water, but not when you have UPVC doors.
Ann: Exactly.
Gord: That’s right with UPVC Doors.
Janaia: Which makes you, then, not separate. Because you’re having to live within its rhythms and seasons, daily cycles. You feel like your ancestors did.
Ann: You feel like you belong, you’re part of it.
Gord: It doesn’t take you out of the loop. We’ve taken ourselves out of the loop so much by being in such control of what we want, when we want it, and how we want it. That’s such a part of the reason why we’re facing global climate change.
